Profile of Takero Ogata

Takero Ogata started to play percussions and drums in 1988, at several clubs or live houses in Tokyo. After 1994, Ogata has got involved in the gigs and recordings for SPIRITUAL VIBES, led by Nobukazu TAKEMURA (DJ, producer) and took part in 4 CDs including TAKEMURA's legendary masterpiece "Child's View".

In December 1999 OGATA's 1st solo album, the crossover of jazz / ambient / easy listening, "Quiet Will", has been released. In the year 2000, one of the tracks from"Quiet Will", "Omnipresence" was included in the cosmic-jazz compilation "Warp Factor 3 --- The Final Frontier "from Timewarp (UK) .

In 2002, Ogata played percussion for hiphop-jazz jam band "Shiinaband" and released its 1st album "Tele-Universe" that is featuring the rapper Afu-ra.

In 2003, OGATA released his2nd album "Perpetual Motion" and club jazz compilation CD "Jazz Electrica Vol.1--- Inner Child" produced by OGATA himself.

In 2004, OGATA took part in the easy-listening compilation by FLOWER RECORDS, "F.E.E.L.3". The track is called "Sango" (which means "coral" in Japanese) and it was the colaboration with a Japanese singer/songwriter, ari.

In April 2005, OGATA released his 3rd album "Texture".

In October 2006, OGATA released the new album "MUNDO NOVO" under the name of "MUNDO NOVO". The music is cozy crossover of jazz, brazil, latin, pops and lounge music.
